Today, Biolinq is a Series D werable biosensor company that will disrupt the established sensor market for glucose monitoring and multi-analyte sensing.
I joined Biolinq as the 2nd employee. Without even a company name yet I focused on the technolgy feasibility of a microneedle sensor platform that could be worn to measure fluid in your skin at a fraction of the depth.
We started with an idea from a tech transfer patent using high resolution 3D printing (down selected), a micromolded platform (down selected), and finally proving the viability of a silicon etched array. I helped establish this tech through persistent research and discovery and contributed to the creative vision of the earliest form pod including a feasibility prototype to collect the first sensor data on humans.
Working with design studios, investors, research labs and failing, a lot, but then finally finding ground with the hardware tech and a market was the ultimate stage 0 experience.
I created a novel design with our supplier. A micromolded LCP array with a wire sized thru hole for sensor embedding.
