This project is in stealth mode so specific aims and some really interesting technology challenges cannot be addressed. However, the goal is to provide individuals with access to blood chemistry without accessing blood.
My projects are really diverse, tackling product design, manufacturing, and regulatory. My main role is in the design of the mechanical components and their manufacturing, with an eye towards the "bigger picture," that is, ensuring that it works it within the scope of the business model.
I've worked on a skin applied patch and its integration with electronics and rigid/flexible components (plastics, foams, etc.). I've learned a great deal about the design, manufacturing techniques, and constrains of skin-interfacing patches. This entails a great detail of design, prototyping, and validation iterations. Skills in sketching, CAD, and various prototyping techniques, combined with my experimental background and knowledge of early product development, has lent nicely to the development.
